December 1, 201114 yr If you mean version 2.17a that can render video, yes it uses the WMV codec so you need a player that can play this (many are out there). Or use something like Handbrake to re-encode into H.264 in an MP4 or MKV container (there's many other options if you require some other codec or container, though it it has to be quicktime (or other apple-centric) that might take some work).scott s..
December 2, 201114 yr OK advice still stands. I use VLC as my general video player in windows. Media Player Classic is also popular. I did a test, and re-encoding the wmv file from FS recorder using freeware Handbrake and saving as MP4 resulted in a file that Quicktime (windows) would play, so I assume it would work on apple devices. As a side effect the file size was reduced from 7.44 Mb (WMV9) to 3.98 Mb (H.264).scott s..
