Using TOPCAT to update payload and fuel is possible?

Featured Replies

Hi to all, as title says is it possible to update payload and fuel with TOPCAT? I think no.I tried to do it, I used in TOPCAT the "Send" function (TOPCAT updates weights via FSUIPC in FSX). A single red line in FSX shows me that payload and fuel was updated! but it wasn't true. Payload and fuel was the same also after TOPCAT updates weights.I know that in the PMDG introduction manual is specified that no one external addon has to be used for payload and fuel, but only do it via CDU.Now, as TOPCAT modifies aircraft.cfg of 737, maybe I have corrupt this file? in your opinion is it better to reinstall the aircraft to have aircraft.cfg file as in a new fresh install? Many thanks,Riccardo

You will mess it up if you use something else to change payload/fuel besides the CDU, so it's possible the file was corrupted, but it may not have. I have heard others say that when they use something else to load the fuel the CDU just automatically puts it back with no issue.I wouldn't worry about doing a reinstall until you see some problems.
