LOD_radious - VRAM

Recommended Posts

Hi all,Could you please let me know the following:1. Providing all graphic sliders are all the way to the right (max quality seetings), does increasing the 'LOD_radious' setting in FSX.cfg affect only texture quality/sharpness/resolution in the distance or it also affects mesh complexity (the higher the setting the more the elevation points) in the distance?2. If a PC (32bit) has 4GB RAM but it also has a video card with an extra 4 GB video-ram, can FSX (SP2) take advantage of both, all the main RAM as well as all the VIDEO-RAM available? Thanks

Thanks Word Not Allowed,So I take it, it's not worth spending money on a new 4GB V-RAM video card, asI already have a GTX-295 with 2Gb V-Ram.

Definitely a waste of money. GTX580 is a worthy upgrade, but 4GB VRAM is a waste for FSX.Btw. wrong forum for hardware discussions...
