Megascenery Earth Question

Featured Replies

I recently purchased MSE entire state of Arizona. I loaded in only a few titles just to check it out. Specifically 6 titles covering the Phoenix area. The mountains and such are definately much better but I think they are not like the scenery shots you see from the web site. Also, upon flying over Phoenix, it is like I loaded in nothing. Everything is the same as before, with the exception of the mountains. The only thing I can think of is either I need to change some settings or my ground texture add on I installed several months ago is causing an issue? Can someone point me in the right direction? Thank you.Running an HP quad core processorRadeon 1g graphics cardMatrox 3 monitor setup 3850x1024 resolution (could this be the issue?) Don't have any recourse here...I have experiended some other issues because of the 3 monitor setup so maybe this is the problem with MSE? The tradeoff for a 3 monitor setup??

I would put some screenshots for the areas in question.

Intel i9-12900KF, Asus Prime Z690-A MB, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, (3) SK hynix M.2 SSD (2TB ea.), 16TB Seagate HDD, Gigabyte GeForce 5080 RTX, Corsair iCUE H70i AIO Liquid Cooler, UHD/Blu-ray Player/Burner (still have lots of CDs, DVDs!)  Windows 10, (hold off for now on Win11),  EVGA 1300W PSU
Netgear 1Gbps modem & router, (3) 27" 1440 wrap-around displays
Full array of Bravo, Saitek and GoFlight hardware for the cockpit. Varjo and HP VR headsets for mixed reality.

Did you add the scenery to your Scenery Library? I don't think the installation does that for you.Best regards,Jim

The MSE titles I installed are all listed and checked in my scenery library and have top priority over everything else listed there. When I saw that I figured my ground texture add on should not be interferring with it. The installation did put those titles in the library for me and adjusted all settings to "custom." I am assuming the values assigned to those settings are for optimum performance.

The only thing I can think of is either I need to change some settings or my ground texture add on I installed several months ago is causing an issue?
Your ground texture addon will not come into play since MSE is photo realistic high resolution scenery. You should play with the texture or mesh resolution sliders as they will raise or lower the scenery. Other than that, I have no additional suggestions.Best regards,Jim
