One of my favorite aircraft to fly back then.

While I commend you on your effort to add new "life" to the sim, I think developers would need to produce more out of labor of luv rather than expect good returns on their products. I would be surprised if one could even sell 100 copies of an airport these days. I would luv to be proven wrong as even I have thought about releasing photoreal scenery for the retail sector.

You've done such great work over the years Vincent we are very lucky to have someone enjoy his hobby so much he wishes to share it with us "SoCal" flyers. Curious... you've seemed to create so many airports in my backyard. Is there another on your wish list you want to hit on some day?

I would like to add the two Boeing throttle handles as seen in Honeycomb's advertising of their Bravo Throttle Quadrant Lite version, yet there is no listing of these under their accessories or spare parts at their website. Does anyone know about how to get a pair or is there any other sources for something similar one has in their cockpit (and likes them)? Thx Clutch

P3D sits at 1.5%. I wonder how many simmers that actually means. Of course that is based on how many entries they received and I don't think they list how many they got? Ooops, I see there were 42,000 respondents. That leaves 630 of us left in P3D! 😪

After using MSFS2020 MSFS2024 for six years I got my very first error message. 001-401. Says cannot connect to servers. Now I just installed a new GeForce 5080 GPU and wanted to give her a try. Could this somehow effect my connection? Is anyone else having this issue or is it more of a one-on-one issue?

I bought my very first add-on for MSFS2024... MK's Dusseldorf. Looks like a superb airport for the price. I like to collect airports of places I have lived starting with this one.

Thx for replies. I was in Developer Mode so I will turn that off to see if it keeps history. As for fullscreen, I have always been closing down in Windowed mode. But when I restart... it is in full mode. So are you saying it should be working? Can you verify thatwith your system? Thanks.

Every time I select and save MSFS 2024 to perform in Windowed Mode it reverts back to Full Screen when I restart MSFS. Is this a known issue? Also, when selecting a departure airport, shouldn't the drop down list show previous airports I departed from the past? It only shows Recommended Spots. Thanks, Clutch

I Having issues installing KMYF. Patience with me as this is my very first install of an addon for MSFS 2024. 1. Downloaded the file 2. Extracted and see two folders 3. I take it both folders are to be in the Community folder? 4. I take it you cannot change the name of the Community folder? For example, I cannot change it to Community2024? When I start MSFS 2024 the KMYF folders are deleted each time?!?

Thanks for the quick reply. Not sure why I would need to create a 'Packages' folder? I would think MSFS would have created all the required folders to work properly when adding 3rd party addons. Here is what my directory looks like: G:\ TempMirror Community Community2024 Official2020 Official2024 StreamedPackages The Community2024 (which I created), is empty, however when I try to delete it - it reappears! If I copy over the KMYF folder(s) into Comminuty or Comunity2024 - the disappear!?!

After installation of MSFS 2024 , I changed the location to a different drive: G:/MSFS 2024 Community. It seems to be ok and I can verify the path under 'My Library'. I think I made a mistake by creating a custom folder in there which I named Community2024. So I have Community and Community2024. If I try to delete the Community2024 it reappears after I reboot my PC? I tried adding my first addon, a free scenery of KMYF airport. Downloaded and unzipped the addon which contained two folders. I place them both either in the Community folder or the Community2024 folder and booted up MSFS. Each time I do it appears MSFS 2024 deletes those folders?!?! Where am I going wrong? thanks, Clutch

I purchased the MSFS 2024 Premium Deluxe edition ($129), and from what I read it would include a Cessna 172 Skyhawk with analog gauges. Yet I cannot find it? Only the G1000 version?

I thought I saw a few times where when I selected an airport it would zoom way down passed the clouds and just show the area of the airport. Is there some selection on how far one can zoom in? I doubt it but thought I would ask. I'll look at the other ideas mentioned above too.

So when I installed 2024 I downloaded all the MSFS scenery packages to my community folder (a custom SSD location). Does that mean MSFS is using my local installed packages or is it still streaming those? Do I have to select something or does MSFS know to use my local scenery (we are talking the MSFS packages, no 3rd party custom scenery) rather than stream it. I take it having my scenery local will result in better load times and/or performance? Other thing I was pleasantly surprised about is I am seeing some nice looking AI aircraft all over. Is AI aircraft now included by default or is it pulling from an old MSFS 2020 install? Thanks

As I explore MSFS 2024 for the first time (just installed), I see three locations where one can make changes to improve performance: 1) Windows 10 settings 2) Nvidia app settings and 3) MSFS 2024 graphic settings. Does one have priority over the other? Should all be used and set to the same settings? Should some be avoided? Clutch

I've never left P3D and added MSFS a year after it came out and just added MSFS 2024 (again waiting another year for it to mature). I use them for different reasons. P3D for commercial work and MSFS, well just because I have had it, but now MSFS 2024 for new escapism/exploring. It's all good - Happy New Year.

Just got my MSFS 2024 installed. Have a separate drive for the app and for the Community folder. Having a fun time over the holidays just taking my time absorbing all the features that most of you are already familiar with. For me, not being a study level simmer, I just explore each feature and I am starting to watch videos on the overall program. The app says I can run everything on High so I am just leaving all where it is set to begin exploring the world. Happy New Years! 🎉

I think I may finally give 2024 a try.

No gaab, we are not selling our scenery on the retail market. There just isn't enough simmer's interest in purchasing to make it worthwhile.
