The time has come for me to finally part ways from MSFS2020. I was holding out for the SU4 update,  TFDI MD-11 and the PMDG 737. Now that they have been updated for 2024, I see no need to run both sims. I was hardly using 2020 as it was over the last several months. It was a good run but now I am moving everything over. I look forward to 2024 getting better and better.

Just installed 2024 this week for PMDG 737NG

Getting close! Until SU4 I barely used 2024. I'd install an update, try it, shelve it in disgust and go back to 2020. But it's turned the corner now. A few more addon upgrades and I'll be over 2020 for good.

I just moved over due to SU4. Could care less about PMDG’s stuff. Looking forward to using Fenix and inibuilds planes in it. Have about another 4 hours of config to do.

56 weeks ago. SU4 was actually a backward step for me but Flight Sim has always been up and down, if you'll pardon the pun so I'm looking forward to the next up. I have no regrets about switching on hour 1 of day 1.   

I purchased MSFS 2024 after SU2 arrived. After SU3 I was using it about 80-90% of the time, but I just uninstalled MSFS 2020 yesterday because now the PMDG 737 has arrived and since SU4 I am getting even smoother performance than I was in 2020. I don't have any desire to maintain 2 sims that are so closely related, when one is clearly superior in most (but not all areas).

Does this include uninstalling Prepar3D this last Sunday…? 😢

if not, then I’ve been using v2024 instead of v2020 since at least January (whenever the server loading issues died down 😂). 

During the SU4 beta for me, it simply wasn't close enough to 2020 prior to that. In fact I've probably done more flights this past month then I have in any other month in the past 5 years, onwards and upwards.

yes pretty much. finally got it stutter free , mostly. deleted drivers w DDU and reinstalled latest drivers for 4080S.  personally dont see a major difference in the graphics, actually sometimes at cruise the quality of the tiles below look plain bad compared w 2020. Definetly not complety sold on 24 yet but since all the dev is moving to 24 Ive migrated.

I will probably be moving across to MSFS 2024 this weekend (even though I am annoyed that it is STILL not on sale on Steam when MSFS 2020 is at another 60% discount). This will also mean that I am switching to the new PC, so keep checking my signature for updates 

Switched two months ago. Even too lazy to launch msfs anymore to use the PMDG 737.

Couldn't buy the upgrade yesterday because it was late but I'm in a hurry to get back the 737 in msfs24.

 

I should install it in the next few days. I hope I don't regret it, because 2020 has been very good and stable, and 2024 is a complete unknown to me...
