Frozen lakes & ponds?

Featured Replies

Now that I am having fun playing around VRF with the Maule I was wondering is there any add on that will allow the lakes and ponds to freeze? We have nice winter scenery, but no ice. Sounds like a tough thing to do, but I figured I would ask.

Hi,Try FinIce from these guys > http://fisd.fsnordic.net/CheersDan.

The messages I've seen from scenery authors that have tried it is that you can indeed freeze bodies of water in the winter. In fact it's not even very complicated. The one problem everyone seems to be having is that from even a moderate distance away, the "frozen" surface pops back to looking like water. So it can be done with regards to functionality, but it's still a problem in the looks department.
