Importing FS9 airports into FSX.

Featured Replies

Hello !In a tentative to populate Russia in FSX, I imported from my FS9 scenery a bunch of airport bgl files under the name “Russian light scenery”.It worked perfectly, except for the parking spots, which became strange black squares where the aircraft wheels are half submerged (they are OK in FS9). See attached image. Is there a way to easily correct this problem ? I already re-compiled the airport with ADE, but with the same result. Thanks for answering if you have an idea !Regards.Alain

Hi,Looks like a problem with transparent textures to me. That is often a problem with FS2004 sceneries in FSX. The only solution would be to update the objects to FSX specs.

If the world should blow itself up, the last audible voice would be that of an expert saying it can't be done.

OK Thanks for the answer, but : how do I do that ? Is there a file converter somewhere that does that automatically, or do I have to de-compile the bgl, correct the problems, and re-compile with a FSX compiler ?Alain
