FMC step climb crash

Good day all, I have updated my PMDG NGX6/7/8/900 with the latest service pack. I uninstalled the previous version and deleted all the simobject folders and PMDG NGX folders then reinstalled the original package and its sp1b and after that the expansion package and its sp1b. i have completed the first flight with no problems and proceded straight on to the second flight. Once at cruising height on the second flight I tried to enter a step climb altitude where the sim hung so I had to ctrl alt del to end fsx. This first time i had entered 370 and pressed the key where it hung, the second time I entered 37000 and pressed the key where it hung again. This second time i had reloaded where i have the previous flight load as default. I haven't flown since soHas anyone else experienced this? If not does anyone have an idea why this may have happened?
