Using track ir with multiple views.

Featured Replies

Hi all, in years gone by I have experimented with multi monitor set ups using fs2004 but not since. For a couple of years I have had 3 monitors using eyefinity but only one game supported it really well which was iracing. What made it good was the fact that it would render three views across each third of the wide display. So, the side monitors did not have the stretch that I am accustomed to with eyefinity. Best of all, it also supported track ir with that config. Since eyefinity I have used all my flight sims in eyefinity mode and just adjusted to the fact that the outside views were fisheye. If you know eyefinity you know what I mean. I just had a play with setting up 2d cockpit views for the front and the side. To my surprise the framerates were very good and just like iracing the side views are perfect, no stretching. The only think missing is using track ir to pan around. I just set up my views to test by panning and zooming the 2d cockpit until things lined up and they did. I was very happy with the results. So, for the next stage.. Is it possible to set these views up like a VC where side views are synched with the main view so when I look around with track ir the side views move and everything still lines up? Look forward to hearing. Thanks,JAson
