FS crashes when loading weather

Featured Replies

Hi, I have a stupid problem and I don't know what happened... I just installed new water textures and other scenery stuff and wanted to start a new flight and then it says: loading weather... (77%) and then the sim crashes... It works when I clear all weather, but after flying a bit and clouds appear it crashes again..Has anybody any idea what might have happened or how I can undo this without installing everything new??!? Already tried to remove everything I added that day but no change..Thank you

Hi, u have to select "Render to Texture" on your display/hardware settings, i had that problem before, this happend when u replace some 32 bit clouds with DXT3 clouds, hope this help, bye.

Hi, thank you, that helped... unfortunately I'm getting less frames with that setting...

Hi, As Dan said, use FSW 32 bits version, you will not have any crash at loading, you can enable render to texture or disable render to texture with the 32 bits pack version no problems at all for crash.http://fsw.simflight.com/FSWFs2k4fix.htmlThanksChris Willis[link:fsw.simflight.com/FSWMenuFsSim.html]Clouds And Addons For MsFs
