December 19, 201114 yr Anybody know how to set a button so when pushed flaps will go to 15? Brad Rich
December 19, 201114 yr I also had the need for direct flap selection, and found out how to set mine last week through LINDA. You basically need to give proper ranges to the "AXIS FLAP SET" command in FSUIPC.I suppose you know this little proggie (you can find it under the freeware section on this forum)Look at my screenshot lines 20 to 23:line 20 is the command for FLAPS 5line 21 --> FLAPS 15line 22 --> FLAPS 30line 23 --> FLAPS UPbe sure to add the "on release" commands too, they are important cause if you don't give it a small other offset on release sometimes the flap selection won't work later. If you don't use LINDA, you can still use those ranges to enter them manually in FSUIPC.Hope this helps.TJ Mathieu Souphy
December 19, 201114 yr Author Thank you very much. I know about Linda but never installed it because I wonder if it will conflict with I have already implemented with FSUIPC.Can you comment on my concern? Thanks, Brad Rich
December 19, 201114 yr Well, I don't know if it can take your existing FSUIPC button assignments, not sure. But I did not have much anyway, and what I do now is use FSUIPC for axis calibration and assignment, and use LINDA for joystick button assignment. And I just love it, wouldn't go back. You'll probably have a little work in reassigning your buttons for your various aircraft the first times, but once you've done that you won't go back :) Mathieu Souphy
December 19, 201114 yr Author OK, I think will take the plunge or try just using FSUIPC. It seems anytime I make changes to software, I am in for a two day hacking process. Brad Rich
December 19, 201114 yr As I said, if you don't want to use LINDA, you can still use the FSUIPC interface to input these ranges as "parameters" in the AXIS_FLAP_SET command Mathieu Souphy
December 19, 201114 yr Author OK, not sure I know how to do it in FSUIPC but I will learn. Thanks again. Brad Rich
December 21, 201114 yr Author I looked for the AXIS_FLAP_SET in FSUIPC and did not locate it. Where is this selection? Thanks, Brad Rich
