  1. EDIT: dumb me, RAAS was not activated from the PMDG display options page 22. Activated it now, will report if it works on landing. EDIT2: Works. Forget I said anything...
  2. I have the same problem with the 747-400 (latest PMDG update). I do not own the 777 nor the 747-8, nor a stand-alone version of RAAS Pro. RAAS Professional menu entry is loaded in add-ons menu. If I open it, the master "on/off" switch is off. If I enable it, and click close and save, then reopen the menu, the master switch is off again ! Audio test works. Profile list is empty from the load profile menu. In the RAAS dialog, it says B747 at the top (as per the screenshot from bodom here above). Volume slider is in the middle. My runways.csv (created with mkrwys) is up to date with my scenery. Could it be that the latest PMDG update kind of "unlinked" the PMDG 747-400 from the RAAS locked version somehow ?
  3. Yes, what I did was reload the Default "Long" panel state and created a slightly modified version of my own from there. One thing I noticed is that on these new panel states, the captain displays are not set to NORMAL mode but to PFD if I recall correctly (not sitting in front of it right now). Just flipped it to NORMAL, and saved my own version of LONG to a file and then selected this one as default for startup. Regards.

    unable to download latest module

  5. Hello guys, Back in the days when I flew FSX, I owned the RealAir Duke V2 and Lancair Legacy V2, for FSX. When I upgraded to P3D, RealAir had already ceased operations so I never got the chance to update my license to P3D for these birds. Now on the website http://realairsimulations.net one can download the installers for these two products. My question is: does anyone know if I can download and install these products now and install them into P3D (v4.3) using my FSX serial numbers ? - Will that work technically ? - Will that be in line with the license or would I be in breach ? Asking this because the line on their website that got my attention is: This installer is provided only for RealAir customers who have previously purchased the Lancair Legacy V2 for P3D or FSX I interpret this sentence as "anybody holding a license for either FSX or P3D can download and use the installer in any of these simulators"... but maybe I'm mistaken. I don't want to attempt anything that would be in breach of the license agreement so that's why I'm asking first here. Thanks for any replies. Mathieu
  6. Not yet but might have a look if no one else feels like picking it up. Thanks
  7. Hi there painters, I would like to request the 747-400F(ER) of ASL Airlines Belgium (formerly TNT), which operates out of EBLG (Liège). Either the OE-IFB or the OE-IFD would be great. Had a search in the Avsim library but it doesn't exist yet. Liveries are plain white with the logo, but a "weathered" look would be nice. Mathieu ps: duplicate from original thread at the PMDG forum, but here is a better place obviously. Sorry for the confusion.

  9. Hi Chris, thanks for the quick reply. I have checked these values and these give indeed an indication of the switches positions value, it's not the actual temperatures. Maybe there's a relation between the switch position and the temperature ? For instance, switch position 0 (cold) could mean 4 degrees (which is the minimum temp for the cargo hold when on automatic. But position 0 for the flight deck switch would then mean 18 degrees, which is the minimum for the F/D in auto position. I could try to extrapolate the switch position in relation to the auto temperature range for that zone. I'll give it another thought and might then consider opening a support ticket, cause there are probably other values (like oil temp, tire pressure, etc) I'm interested in which I don't think are currently available. Thanks again
  10. Hi, I'm working on something with the 747 SDK and can manage to read all the events (like switch positions etc) without a problem. One thing I am interested in is to be able to read the current zone temperatures, i.e. the values indicated in white on the ECS display. I can read the zone control temperature switch values, but I am more interested in the actual current temperature of each zone so I was wondering if that's extractable from the SDK. Couldn't find a variable in the list at first glance for that. Thanks for any replies. Mathieu

    FIX page question

Ok thanks for the tip on the ILS designator, I will use these. I guess that means I'm out of luck if shooting any other approach like RNAV...
  12. Hi, a question I have about the FIX page that I couldn't find the answer for in the FCOM: in the NGX, after you select an approach procedure to a specific runway, you can enter that runway designator in the fix page (for example RW08L), which can then be used with the options below to create green distance rings on the ND. I always configure 25, 10 and 5nm rings to the threshold of my runway for situational awareness. However this technique does not seem to work on the 747 v3. Normal waypoints are accepted but runway designators do not seem to be working, so I was wondering if this is indeed normal behaviour and a limitation of the real 747 FMS, or if this is something that is supposed to be possible but maybe a bug. For now as a workaround I create those distance rings around the destination airport instead of the runway threshold, but I guess it's using the ARP then and for some airports there can be quite a huge difference (e.g. EHAM runway 18R/36L). Thanks. Mathieu
  13. I've read somewhere that the regular 1080 (which I bought recently) does a very good job of rendering P3Dv4 without hassle and a good amount of detail. However if you want to go the VR route, the Ti is the way to go. That's what I've heard anyway
  14. Bryan, Creators Update is not beta, it was formally released in April this year. Although I must say there have been some issues with it (and still not all resolved), but it is the officially latest version Microsoft advertises. You probably refer to Fall Creators Update, which should be released in October See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_10_version_history
