Favorite Holiday Flying

Featured Replies

The Christmas and winter holiday season is here. Many of us are planning trips or quick visits with friends or family. The nice thing is that the season gives us time off and have fun, but between time with family and friends we hopefully get some time to fly. I was wondering if anyone has an annual holiday flying or a specific route that they like to head on with a friend or solo in Flight Simulator? If there are any real pilots that like to do flying on the holidays please share as well.Myself, I like to hop out of the big twin jets and into a old warbird and fly around wintry areas in FSX. I did a tour around Hokkaido in my P-51D last year. This year I'm looking at bringing the plane back around to the US by flying her from Japan, up to Russia and settle in Alaska. After that, if I have time, I'd like to try out the Canada scenery and do some flying there as well.

I always fly from somewhere warm like KFLL to a colder wintery place with light snow falling on Christmas eve, last year was KMDW.
