Modify Add On airport with ADE

Featured Replies

I am a newbie to this part of FSX, and I want to modify my Blueprint Simulations airports with the trick where you add a small taxiway of either concrete or asphalt (the opposite of what the airport is currently). This is supposed to eliminate the awful shimmering problem. If I want to mod the add on airport, do I open Stock Airport in ADE, or should I select the "Open Airport from BGL", and use the bgl in the Blueprint folder, then compile that one?

Select "Open Airport from BGL" from the Blueprint folder. Not knowing the nature of the Blueprint Simulations airport scenery files, I don't know if this will work. A better solution is to turn off DX10 preview in FSX.

Excuses if I am posting on the wrong forum - after a long search.

Successfully using ADE 1.67 in adding ILS to runways in FSX-SE using Windows 10 but a few large airports report an INTERNAL COMPILER ERROR # 2031 Failed Element Parse <Boundary Fences and #2032 XML Page Error!Element tree follows:...

The menu recommendation is to UPDATE TO AT LEAST SP1A.

The Microsoft site Flight Simulator X SDK SP1A will download this update but it will not execute impeding me this recommended update - notwitstanding compatibilities tries.

Has anyone been through a similar problem and solved it and would be willing to share it with this enthusiastic ADE user?

Thanks a million.
