Just installed AS2012 last night. First flight went great, weather was downloading graphics improvements where obvious and a real step up. This morning i fired up the pc, launched AS2012 all looked good, I launched FSX, and despite a clear weather shown in AS2012, it was raining in FSX.I attempted to load some custom weather and that's when I noticed, the download confirmation message in AS2012 was popping up almost instantly. Maybe it's faster in 2012, but in ASE it took several seconds. After making a few more attempts I also noticed that I was not getting any banner messages in FSX from AS2012.I've gone through the docs page by page, checked all my settings in AS2012, FSX, and FSUIPC4 (yes, running the latest version), and all appears ok. I'm running FSX Deluxe so have all service packs and acceleration. The latest version of FSUIPC and have no other weather related add on's.I'm not getting an error messages, AS2012 shows a "Connected Status" and the audit log shows weather data being received and loaded to FSX, but nothing is happening in FSX.I looked on the trouble shooting page and all it lists is how to deal with sim-connect errors of which I am not getting any. It does recommend reloading FSX SP's as a fix, but seeing as I don't get any sim-connect error messeges and AS2012 shows connected I'm hoping to only do that as a last resort. Are there other things I can look at first or is a relaod the only fix?Any thoughts or ideas on where to look next would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,Without you doing anything does the weather theme in FSX get set to User Defined?Is Locked to Closest On in AS?If you move around in FSX does AS recognize your new locations from FSX?

Yes, set to "User Defined"

It was not. I checked it and am finding it seems to un-check on its own periodically.

If you move around in FSX does AS recognize your new locations from FSX?

Yes, on initial boot and when I relocate to different places.Seems to be working again. I'll run a few more test flights and post back if the un-checking and loss of sync occurs again.Again, Thanks for the quick reply.

What might be turning off the " Locked to Closest" feature???I'm finding that when downloads stop I can go into AS2012 and find that it has become unchecked.
