February 14, 200422 yr Hi there folks, Just upgraded today from FS2002 to Century of Flight. My Microsoft Sidewinder (regular) does not work properly in FS9. The throttle works but I can't turn the aircraft using the joystick. I have searched this forum and others and I cant seem to find any info other than on flightsim.com's FS2004 FAQ's. It says:"After the installation of FS9 go into the Windows Device Manager, find the Sidewinder and update the driver: choose Sidewinder"I tried this. There are no other drivers for the sidewinder.Anyone have any thoughts. Can the MS sidewinder be used in FS9? Are there any other (new) drivers for the sidewinder? Please help me enjoy this great sim...
February 14, 200422 yr Author I have the Microsoft Sidewinder Precision 2 joystick and everyonce in a while something does not work with it. (the day before I had no throttle) Well if you have Win XP just unplug the joystick, then plug it back in. Win XP will load up the joystick and everything will work again. (It works for me)
