Malwarebytes reports trojan malware in ORBX script

Featured Replies

Has anyone seen this?I am just waking up a new PC, so this could be something to do with that.... Malwarebytes (registered version) reports:...\ORBX\Scripts\FTXLIGHTS_DAY.exe (Trojan banker) and has blocked this file from executing. FSX is not running. Thanks, Bruce.

Upload it to virustotal.com. I'm guessing its a false positive

Hi Bruce, if you head over to the Orbx Support Forums there's some info on this. It's a false positive that's been picked up by McAfee and Malwarebytes. I replicated it on my system when another user asked about it just a bit ago. The anti-virus software will continue flagging it as a trojan until the software makers update their definitions to exclude it. For Malwarebytes when it finishes the scan and reports malicious items, click on the Day-Night switcher .exe's and click 'ignore' to restore them to their original location.

Thanks Johan and Alex,I had OK'd Malwarebytes to quarantine this, not know what it was, so will now go back into the application and tell it to ignore this file. Thanks, much appreciated. Bruce.
