Ok this is odd. It failed to patch the original "fs9.exe" from my fs9 CD, but the "fs9.exe.backup" was created. When I tried to patch the "fs9.exe.backup" instead the original one, it worked. Lucky guess

Coming off the disk, the original would have copied as "read only" - the created backup file had "read/write" permissions.DJ

So did I do it right, copy the original fs9.exe to backup ----> patch the backup exe, then edit the "fs9.exe.backup" to "fs9.exe"?
