G940 No Force Feedback Effects

Hi

Received a G940 today and all seemed well until I noticed in FSX there were no force effects what so ever. I can feel the resistance of the motors but nothing else so I tested it with Wings Of Prey and IL-2 and sure anough no feedback effects in any game. Am I missing something as I would expect some effects like guns or stall shake or running on grass but nothing even smashing the 172 into a maintain produced no effects. Both my operating systems are Windows 7 64bit with no UAC.

I have the latest firmware/software and am launching the games from the profile with FF tuned on in profile and in game and still nothing, so any help would be nice.

Silly question, but did you enable force feedback in FSX?
