Water effects and FSX-REX settings

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,I have REX2 and need to know if it is possibile to get water effects and sunlight reflections on the water simply using a 1x High setting.Unfortunately I should set 4x SGSS as transparency filter in Inspector to avoid objects (trees and thin tall autogen objects) shimmering.Increasing FSX water effects to 2x Low lead to a huge impact on fps (50% fps reduction while flying over water)Leaving it at 1x high give a very high performance but water is very annoying. For example, I am flying over North Sea coming from Sweden and the water is flat (no waves or sunlight reflections) and an ugly gray colour.Possible to get the same effects as 2x Low but using 1x High with some kind of tweaks in FSX.cfg or other files? Many thanks. Bye.

No, not possible. The difference IS the reflections... If you COULD add reflections etc. to 1x high you would get the same drop in fps...

noooo, what a sadness. Finally that I found a great solution to shimmering, I got the opposite medal face, which gave me a minus. It seems incredible that you reach a finish but another lack comes up!Thanks. Bye.
