January 6, 201214 yr Hi at all, i've a little question:i see that pressing the "influence" button on every graphic, it is all set to 5, always. How can AS decide which graphic to use based on weather? Is it random or is it really weather influenced (without changing the values)?Thank you for replies! :)Have good landings! Massimiliano.
January 7, 201214 yr Commercial Member Hello,Many of the variants are preset to 5, but not all. This largely depends on the category.. for example, for airport sign textures, the weather is not a logical influence and thus everything there is set to 5 (random). However, for water waves, weather is indeed an influence and you'll see the wave variants populated to match their ideal weather conditions (mainly in surface wind speed), while a few are left generic/random/5. In the case of water waves, the generic/5s would be for the variants which make sense in any weather condition. The more-influenced categories include clouds (all types), sky and water waves. When you start making recolor variations, populating wx-influence values may be helpful to better choose that variant based on weather.. for example, while "tropical water textures" are not generally influenced by the weather in the default single-color hue variant, when you make recolors, you may find some are more suitable for overcast/cloudy conditions (i.e. darker and less saturated).
