Clicking sound

Featured Replies

I have an issue when flying the JS41, I hear what is best described as a "clicking" sound coming over my USB headsets (a really fast, faint "tick-tick-tick-tick-tick"). Is this normal? Also, I have FSX set up to send regular sounds through my main speakers and voice through my USB headsets, yet I hear certain sounds coming through my headset that aren't voice (like the winding up sound when starting the engines). Anyone know how to set it up to send those through my main speaker?

The JS41 is probably trying to send sounds outside of FS's built in sound engine to the primary sound device. If using windows 7/Vista, ensure you have your speakers set as your default sound device, with your USB headset set as your "Default communications device" or something along those lines. In the FSX sound options, select the default/primary sound device as your sound one, and your default communications device as the voice. That way you'll get FS atc over your headset with all other sounds coming through your speaker.Let us know if it works.
