January 7, 201214 yr I'm using FSX with Saitek Throttle Quad (with the Saitek drivers) and MultiPanel (with SPAD). When I fly the Eaglesoft CJ-1 on an ILS approach using the Appr mode, everything goes fine until I disengage the A/P. At that point, the A/P is still in control of the throttle settings (as if it is still running and controlling the approach) ... if I click the IAS button on the Multipanel, the engines spool down and I can control the remainder of the approach -- even with that, sometimes I have to run the Throttle Quad up and then back down to where I want the throttle setting. This creates too much excitement at a critical time!Has anyone encountered this problem? Any ideas? Thanks, maestrogn
January 7, 201214 yr Perhaps what you're seeing is a common sim problem with low cost hardware throttles: As the auto-throttle moves the throttles (as seen in the VC), your physical hardware throttles of course remain motionless, so the two get out of sync. Then when you turn off the A/T, once you move your physical throttles the VC throttles will snap-to the position of the VC throttles. The solution is to be prepared for this by noting the position of the VC throttles before you move the physical throttles, so you can quickly return your throttles to the position the A/T last left them at before you turned the A/T off.Cheers,- jahman.
