February 19, 200422 yr For some reason my contrails come out the back of aircraft and then the do a 90 degree turn and head straight down to the ground. I could be sitting on the runway about to take off and if an AI plane passes over head I see his contrail come flying past me while Im on the ground. The same happens to my aircraft, If I go to spot view I can see my contrail going straight down to the ground as I fly. Does anyone know what could be causing this? What is the name of the FX file that controls contrails and what FS9 disk can I find it on?Thanks all!Regan
February 19, 200422 yr The file is named AI_contrail.fx or something similar. Your's has most likely been replaced by an older version, probably through an installation of an older aircraft. There is a file in AVSIMs library which lists where you can find all files on the original FS9 CDs; just copy back the one from the disk to your effects directory.Best,sg [email protected] | 32gb RAM | EVGA GTX1080 8gb | Mostly P3Dv5 (also IL2:BoX, DCS, XP11)
