FSX settings keep restarting

Featured Replies

Guys,I'm writing here hoping it will be anwsered quickly. The thing is that FSX keeps restarting settings, for example, i checked "show cockpit tooltips" and the next time i start fsx it's unchecked, same with display settings, sound... also when i want to choose starting airport Afghanistan is first to choose. anybody have any idea what is wrong? it has been like this almost a month now, and it starts getting on my nerves LOL !Thanks,Ivan Majetic

There are a few reasons for this, but mainly if you have FSX installed into the default location of Vista or Win7 then its most likely administrative issues. Right your click FSX shortcut and choose "Run as administrator".Set your settings the way you want and close FSX. Another thing is that most settings FSX has are only written to the files once you actually close FSX. So if FSX happens to crash 5 hours after you made a settings change it won't save them, so again, set your settings then restart FSX.As for your airport of choice, first know that you should never set a payware airport, payware aicraft or weather other than "Clear" weather as your default flight. If it is the default Afghanistan (meaning you didn't buy it separate) you could just set that airport up and save your flight as default.
