January 9, 201214 yr Weirdest thing, Randomly, sometime earlier this week all of my effects have turned black. Like they're incompatible with something.
January 9, 201214 yr Do you see black boxes instead? If so, what happened is that the effects graphic files were overwritten and/or deleted. Those files are located in the "effects" subfolder of FSX.

January 10, 201214 yr Actually, I have had some effects crap out for no reason-- I mean out of the blue without any changes. The entire folder is 6.45 megs in size. PM me if you want a copy of the folder...
January 10, 201214 yr Author I just downloaded and installed the FSX Blue Angels Latest F-18. ANd It has it's own effects/texture sets. Even they're black. Could this be caused by REX?
