January 10, 201214 yr At current, the software doesn't take native hold of the SLI/Crossfire configurations. They will have to do some major restructuring to do so. From what I've read on the official forums, they are migrating to DX11 and looking into technologies like nVidia Tesla for on-gpu mass computing. It hasn't been said if they are doing the ATI equivalent of Tesla or are focusing on one developer only, but LM may be getting assistance from one side or may also find it easier to work within a single SDK instead of being universally compatible. We are talking about a product that will eventually be in the hands of a unique market. They may restrict some options to increase the performance gains by using compatible hardware such as nVidia dedicated options they cater to.Could be one of the only reasons we decide which manufacturer to go with when the results are so comparable between the companies and options.
