February 21, 200422 yr I had moved my SDK folder and now the BGLCOMP Installer insists that I uninstall the old version before it will install the new one. My ADD/REMOVE (XP) does not show the BGLCOMP SDK therefore I am stuck. Does anyone know the registry setting, or general area of the setting, that tells the installer that the old version of the SDK is installed? Thanks,Dick Boley @KLBE regards, Dick near Pittsburgh, USA
February 22, 200422 yr Dick,The default location is C:Program FilesFS2004SDKBGLCOMP_SDK.Also look in WindowsDownload Installations and see if the Flight Simulator 2004 BGLComp SDK.msi is in one of the folders. If so, try moving the entire folder to another area outside of windows to see if it fixes your problem. Reboot your computer before trying to see if it releases the *.msi.Another thought crossed my mind. If you have the *.msi file try right click on it to see if the install/repair/uninstall comes up!W. February 22, 200422 yr Author I mustered the courage to delve into the registry, after creating a restore point. Searching on BGL eventually revealed the references to the BGLCOMP SDK. Their removal allowed the new update to now proceed smoothly.ThanksDick Boley @KLBE regards, Dick near Pittsburgh, USA
