February 22, 200422 yr Using shift+, plane starts moving back. I then press 1 or 2 to turn it right or left but nothing happens.Any help would be appreciated
February 22, 200422 yr You got two possible solutions:1) install the pushback gauge from the avsim library2) assign shift+p to a single key, like "o" or something, and then you have to be lucky simply, push that key + 1 or 2, depending on direction. Note though, that you have to press 1 or 2 rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreally fast after the first key. I'm talking milliseconds.Wish you luck :)
February 22, 200422 yr In FS2K2, it would work fine, but if you did anything else between shiftP and the 1 or 2, it would ignore the 1 or 2. So, if you started your pushback and then switched to a spot plane view to check your progress, the turn wouldn't work. If you're going to do that, you need to switch views first and then start the pushback.
February 22, 200422 yr I assigned Ctrl+p for pushback and it works great and I don't have to push 1 or 2 rrrrrrrrrrrrrrreally fast. In fact I can let it push backward for a while the, push 1 (for example), wait until it completes that turn, then press 2, and get a turn in the opposite direction. Be aware that the turns do not start immediately when you press the 1 or 2 key; the plane rolls backward about half of its length before the turn commences. R-
February 22, 200422 yr Author Best advice is that from Word Not Allowed, install the push-back gauge from the AVSIM library.File name I have is rcbgh-31.zip but search on author for Rob Barendregt, there may be a newer version. You can change views and start engines while it is running, an excellent utility, thanks Rob.
