Installing Gerrish Gray's Trees

Featured Replies

Can anyone tell me how to install these trees in FS9? The readme only has instructions for FS2002, and I never had FS2002, so I don't know how add-on's were handled then. I assume Trees_V3 is the latest and will work for FS9, as some of the available add-on mesh and scenery's call for this file to be installed. Will these add-on's work if Gerrish Gray's trees aren't installed? Are these trees better quality then the default? The readme says to delete old tree files. Are there any to delete in FS9 before installing? Where do I unzip the contents of SCENERY.ZIP to, the main FS2004 Scenery folder, or into one of the main FS2004 Scenery subfolders? Do I put the contents of FS2002.ZIP into the main FS2004 Texture folder? Is there anything else that needs to be done in FS9? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Trees V3 are the trees for developers to use in aftermarket scenery. NOT autogen tree replacements. Are you trying to incoporporate those trees into scenery that demands it? Should be instructions as to where it goes in the documentation.mstreesv3.zip is the file for the replacement autogen trees, and the five (?) files simply replace files beginning trees_xx in the main texture folder.Allcott

Just put them in the main scenery and texture folders...IE put the Trees_0.bgl in SceneryWorldScenery and all the contents of FS2002.zip in Texture.
