Hello,Not really sure how to do this forum thing but i'm a little desprate. Yesterday I purchased Active Sky Evolution and tried loading it. I get an error saying " Registry Access Failure. Please contact support..etc." I did so and have yet to hear anything back from them. I followed the installation instructions to the letter and even tried to HiFi support pages remedies for ASE not starting. I am pulling my hair out! I have no idea what could be wrong and there is hardly any topics out there on ASE let alone my specific issue. Anyone have any ideas?BTW, I'm running:Intell E55004gb RamWindows Vista Home Basic 32BitMS FS2004MS FS X

Turn UAC off, reboot, run the installer from the right click "run as administrator" and see if that helps...DJ

UAC was off. I had a feeling it was a Vista issue (suprise suprise) but even uninstalling it and wiping my PC of anything ASE related and it did no good. I tried the run as Admin. trick too but to no avail. The ASE splash screen pops up and imediatly gives me the error screen. Also, the instructions say to load the Guagexml.exe (i think) file after i install ASE but as soon as i try to run it ( As admin too) is says " program Guage.exe has stopped working...etc." Its one of those generic windows error screens

Make sure Windows Defender is off and make sure your anti-virus software is off as well... you might also boot into safe mode and try the installation there. I have no idea what GaugeXML is supposed to be...DJ
