February 26, 200422 yr Some users of my freeware Airbus panels made me notice a little (annoying) difference between FS2002 and FS2004.In FS2004, if you arm the spoilers and the aircraft is on ground, the spoilers will fully extend. I have tested this with the default B737.Is it the same for you or is it specific to my system? Is there any configuration file I can change to avoid this? Thanks for any help.Eric My Web Site
February 26, 200422 yr Hi Eric,Same here (with all aircraft/panels I have).I assume this is a new, intended "feature" in FS2004.The reason I say this, because this "extend-when-armed" effect is coupled to the Throttle position.I.o.w.:Extending the spoilers when you ARM them is only done when the trottles are idle; moreover, if armed (and extended with throttle idle) and you increase the throttle lever the spoilers are automatically retracted. Also, when you arm them with throttle not idle, the spoiler lever goes to the arm position; but when you now set the throttles idle, the spoiler lever (and spoilers themselves) are fully extended again. So the FS2004 code does make a distinction between the states Armed and Extended, and it therefore seems deliberate .....Whether this is realistic or not, I can't tell :-)And I'm almost convinced that you cannot change this behaviour, since this logic is part of the internal FS2004 code itself (and not of the related gauges)Regards, RobPS: (OT) Do you still intend to release a new version of F16.gau with the freeware FSUIPC key embedded in the code ??
February 26, 200422 yr Author Thanks for your complete answer, it is very clear.OT: I'd like to release the F16.gau with a FSUIPC freeware key, but I have no time to work on it, and digging into an old code is a nightmare...Eric My Web Site
