January 27, 201214 yr I recently started a YouTube channel and have been posting tutorials and FSX movies. Since I'm not getting a ton of views at this point and therefore am not getting much feed back, I figured I'd ask for some feedback here. I have so far posted two FSX movies, and I'd like to know some ways I can improve them (e.g. filming techniques, camera angles/panning, video effects, music, etc...).http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z095kOVWYms&list=UUHc1Ko-0e0VHW2u4m9hNxLQ&index=1&feature=plcphttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QfdAwIDydO4&list=UUHc1Ko-0e0VHW2u4m9hNxLQ&index=6&feature=plcpThanks,boeing247 Edited January 27, 201214 yr by boeing247 -Bram Osterhout
January 27, 201214 yr Nice videos but I'm not a fan of just music playing and taking out the sounds of the aircraft. Just not very realistic. Sort of like running a slide show of aircraft pictures with music playing in the background... You had some aircraft sounds playing with the music in the 737 video but none with the first video. And the sound was overwhelming in both videos. I also like to see more internal views and instrument settings. Maybe even a few wing views and/or views as a passenger in a light aircraft. Stormy weather and lots and lots of clouds are interesting to see especially when bringing an aircraft in for a landing. Just saying... I do appreciate your efforts and hard work making videos for the community.Best regards,Jim
January 27, 201214 yr Author Thanks for the input! I'll mess with the volume in my next video to see if I can get a bit of engine sound to be heard, I think I set it a bit too low on the C340 vid.I think I had a passenger shot filmed, but I had some trouble with FRAPS and it must not have saved. I'll include some passenger/cockpit shots in the next one. I actually like those more, but you don't see a whole lot of them in other videos. It's good to hear that people do like seeing them. -Bram Osterhout
January 27, 201214 yr This is what I was thinking about when I said engine sounds, wing views, cockpit views, etc. - http://www.youtube.com/user/jimboking#p/u/0/nM_ZB7jqxz8. Of course it's going to be difficult to get to this level but I like to hear the reverse thrusters, the flaps going up or down, and stuff like that.Best regards,Jim
