AxisViewer Tool

Recommended Posts

I finally got around to polishing up and writing docs for a little tool I wrote for myself last year, and recently added it to the file library.http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DLID=165339&CatID=fsxutilHopefully some of you will find this useful, I never fly without it!

Just FYI, you're liable to see issues with something like this and our planes because we don't actually do 1:1 joystick to control surface mapping like an FS default plane. We intercept the joystick and produce something we like to call "fly by software" where we can change the curves and response times and stuff like that to make the controls work more closely to the real thing.

Actually, I mostly fly PMDG planes, that's why I posted here. In my experience, the positions reported by SimConnect seem to match up very well with the actual control surface positions.
