Nose wheel Stuck -- No Failure

Featured Replies

Lately I've been seeing an issue that afflicts most of my saved panel flights. Be it the default "last flight" panel state of a panel state that accompanies a saved flight. After beginning to taxi, I noticed the rudder and nose wheel are hard stuck, regardless of my pedal position, and the aircraft turns in a tight right hand circle. Is anyone else experiencing this? I've yet to open a ticket as I'm trying to find a sure way to replicate the issue. No failures active.Rudder "Hard-over" :(2012-1-28_19-9-45-730.jpg90 degrees when stationary2012-1-28_19-7-1-806.jpgNose wheel deflection decreases when moving at any speed. I don't know why it didn't occur to me, but I had set the rudder axis under FSUIPC to "send directly to FSUIPC Calib.". I thought I had it set to "Send to FS...."Just clarification for those who experience the issue. I'm dense sometimes.

Check the rudder trim. I've had similar issues reloading saved flights. Somehow during the save and subsequent reload the rudder trim went to full right. Resetting it solved the problem.

You're absolutely right, Joe. Rudder trim was full right. I only caught it after I ran a complete checklist. Changing FSUIPC settings seemed to fix the ground issues until takeoff. Apparently something screwy is going on somewhere, but all is well now.
