CTD Before Landing

Recommended Posts

okay so this hasn't been happening for me ever before now, the last two flights i've tried doing, both into KLAS, I've gotten a CTD. One time it happened when I had landed and was holding at bravo, the second time it happened was when I was turning onto the loc and my screen just froze. Sometimes I wonder if its because I have a habit or switching views all the time, for example I will continually look in and out of my cockpit so maybe this has a stress on my system but other than that i don't know. I checked my event viewer and this is what it told me. fsx.exe 10.0.61472.0 475e17d3 DSOUND.dll 6.1.7600.16385 4a5bd9fd c0000005 00003a27 c6d4 01ccdfddd920bd60 C:Program Files (x86)Microsoft GamesMicrosoft Flight Simulator Xfsx.exe C:Windowssystem32DSOUND.dll 7cacc56c-4bdb-11e1-a5c9-50e54934e836OrFaulting application name: fsx.exe, version: 10.0.61472.0, time stamp: 0x475e17d3Faulting module name: DSOUND.dll, version: 6.1.7600.16385, time stamp: 0x4a5bd9fdException code: 0xc0000005Fault offset: 0x00003a27Faulting process id: 0xc6d4Faulting application start time: 0x01ccdfddd920bd60Faulting application path: C:Program Files (x86)Microsoft GamesMicrosoft Flight Simulator Xfsx.exeFaulting module path: C:Windowssystem32DSOUND.dllReport Id: 7cacc56c-4bdb-11e1-a5c9-50e54934e836

Sound driver problem. What sound card are you using? Is the driver up-to-date?Also please go to Windows Update to make sure all your MSVC and .NET Runtimes are up-to-date.Cheers,- jahman. Edited by jahman

I'm not sure on the soundcard, i think realtek high definition? My specs are i7 @ 4.6ghz, 8gb ram, 2tb, 580gtx, h90 watercooling so i was kind of surprised when i got that ctd. Never had them on this machine before, i bought it in august. Okay I'll check. Also, I was flying the NGX and I just bought it.

OK, then the easy step is to uninstall FSDT Vegas (or you could try disabling it in your scenery library config.)Cheers,- jahman.
