February 5, 201214 yr Ok, I know this might be a weird question but I really need an answer. So, finally I got the hang of compiling flightplans with TTools, but now i have another question. So, I downloaded a very nice flightplan pack for Aeroflot. In that pack, it had a list of reccomended repaints and I downloaded the ones recommended. So I clicked open the flightplans, and I saw that the number of flightplans were more than the number of planes available. For example, there were about 3 or 4 Aeroflot A330s in the library, but there were like 10 more registrations in the flightplans. What am I supposed to do? I copied down some of the regs and looked for them on the internet, but I couldn't find any more than 20. I hope you understand what I mean. Another example is that in the flightplans it said "Airbus A321-200 (x15)" at the top before it listed all the Aeroflot A321 regs. I looked for almost all of the A321 regs but found only a few, nothing close to 15. Please reply if you need any further explanations.
February 5, 201214 yr I would say very few people would attempt to have a paint for every possible aircraft MSN an operator flies. I guess there's the posibility of using a "decal" for the reg no on the aircraft, but I don't know how often that feature is included in a model.Typically there is a file, aircraft.txt that is included with the flightplans. You either need a an aircraft variant for each entry (variant means an aircraft folder container and in the file aircraft.cfg there exists a fltsim.x section where the "title=" matches what is in aircraft.txt.for example, say aircraft.txt has the line:AC#2,475,"Aeroflot Airbus A330-300 'Skyteam'"Then you must have an aircraft variant such as a paint for the TFS A333 such that there is [fltsim.x]title=Aeroflot Airbus A330-300 'Skyteam'... There may be any number of flightplans that use that same aircraft AC#2 with different reg nos or fllight nos in the plans. That doesn't matter. If you don't have that repaint you have some choices;a. delete all flight plans which use that AC#b. create a new fltsim.x aircraft entry with the correct title= line (the actual repaint textures you use don't matter).c. substitute in aircraft.txt an aircraft entry which you already have. (edit the entry for AC#2 according to the aircraft you want to subsitute).scott s.. Edited February 5, 201214 yr by scott967
