please can anybody help? I am running win xp home and fs9 this last day or two fs9 is just closing down during a flight..no error messages nothing just dumping me back to desktop.x(

These kind of CTDs (crash to Desktop) can often be caused by a dodgy scenery file. Have you recently installed any addon scenery or scenery enhancements ? If so, try removing them one at a time until you get back to a stable situation.Dave

Yes i added some mesh scenery but this morning i did a complete reinstall of fs9 and flew the same flight "Denver to Seattle" without any add on scenery and the the same thing happened again in the same place about 60 miles from Seattle the program just dropped me back to windows desktop no error messages or anything. x(

Try deleting the FS9.cfg file . When you uninstalled you should have deleted this - the uninstall doesn't do that so thoe old .cfg file is left behind and may be still containing references to the mesh scenery. When you delete the file , FS9 will build a new one next time you start the program but you will then have to reset any changes you have made to display/sound etc settings. The FS9.cfg is in Documents and settings/(user)/Application Data/Microsoft/FS9/You will need to enable "View Hidden Files"Dave

Thanks dave i will give that a try.
