February 6, 201214 yr Hi!I know that there are a lot of these thrust problem, with people that cannot slow down...I have a similar problem, but still not the same... Thats why i create a new thread for this.I hope this is okay, otherwise, start yelling at me ; -)All kidding aside...My problem is not slowing down (at least i think so) but my problem is that when im on ground, the plane more or less taxiis without any thrust at all... sometimes i have to apply extremly low amount of thrust to start moving, but then the aircraft increases in speed all the time, with the throttles in idle position (i am using a saitek yoke and throttles)Its a bit annoying and I think a bit unrealistic to have to tap the brakes every now and then to stop the speed from increasing over 20 kts...So my question is, my N1 when taxiing with throttles at idle position is about 22.4... is that too high? and if so, how do i change this? lower the null zone? raise the sensitivity?Sorry for yet another of these threads!:)/Niklas Eriksson Niklas Eriksson
February 6, 201214 yr Hi Niklas,I'm a newbie and still trying to learn as muc as I can about the PMDG 737 but as far as I know taxi thrust seems correct. Depending on a/c weight you have to use the brakes to slow down from time to time. The idle rpm seems to be about right. After a normal landing you should be able to taxi to the gate without touching the throttlesI've been riding jumpseat a few times so at least i have picked up some information from that...........BTW: Are you the same Niklas that operates a litlle yellow aircraft ;-) "Semper in excretum est" Best Regards, Hakan Olsson
February 6, 201214 yr Author The thing is that its possible to taxi without any throttles even before takeoff, but i am actually fairly light with a ZFW at 54.1 so that might be the reason for why my plane rushes along the taxi way:-pThanks for shedding a light of this.-)Hm no not that im aware of, no small yellow aircrafts...:-) Niklas Eriksson
February 6, 201214 yr Well it seems normal to me and maybe someone with a 737 rating will confirm. You should also be aware of that slopes are simuleted in FSX even if you cant see it so if you taxi downhill you will pick upp speed faster.Take care out there :-) "Semper in excretum est" Best Regards, Hakan Olsson
