Screensaver on final approach in XPX

Featured Replies

So I took off from Madison, WI (KMSN) in my Carenado C172II last night in XPX and tuned my two VOR receivers to fly the airway between KMSN and Oshkosh (KOSH). Lined up for a straight-in approach to runway 36. 50 feet from the runway my screen goes black.... What the! Crap. Windows screensaver just kicked in. I was able to hit "P" and pause the sim, then hit alt-tab a couple of times to get my XPX graphics back. My plane was nose-down about to smack grass. Dang it, I hate it when that happens. Mental note... Disable screensaver before starting XPX.

Well I hadn't used screensavers in awhile, but I had to start locking my computer automatically because my 21-month old likes to manipulate the buttons on my mouse and delete or move all the files on my desktop. Doh!Hmm, I could probably write something like this (in regards to the MAC solution) for Windows.
