FS9 flightplan mystery

Featured Replies

Hi!I often make my own AI-flightplans and they mostly work fine. But, when I made flightplans for SPIM (LIMA Peru) to KJFK, they just won't work. The AI planes get lost; come close to KJFK and then just get lost.I carefully check all parameters; flightlevels, return periods, etc., but they still just won't work. So, does anyone have any idea what might be wrong?Grateful for help. Thanks in advance.Hans HermanssonSweden

Hey there Hans from Sweden,Sounds like an issue with the AI plane itself, i.e. it's flight dynamics or an issue in it's aircraft.cfg file. A sure sign of such problems is to watch your AI plane as it takes off. If it porpoises up and down during it's climb then you will know for sure that it has flight dynamic issues and the chances of it arriving normally at it's destination airport will decrease strongly. The first thing to try would be to give your AI a different AIR file from a similar and preferrably default plane. However, if this doesn't help then I'm afraid that you must choose another plane altogether, so not just another paint. I've had to do this in the past quite often with AI planes which seemed to crash along their routes and especially during their approaches at their destination airports.Good luck.Another Hans, only this one lives in Holland.
