making a new FS9 registry key/entry

Featured Replies

Hi all,I recently formated my c: drive (don't ask, don't ask...) so I had to re-install windows again. Fortunately, I have my fs9 install on a seperate harddrive (f:) so I don't have to re-install fs again! FS9 works fine but obviously I've lost my registry entry in windows. How can I manually make that entry in the registry by regedit? What entry would I have to make?Your help is welcome!lennart

Easier to re-install FS on C: and then copy and paste your backup FS directory. Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Support

Hi Lennart,I had the same problem recently and found the answer somewhere in the AVSIM fora. To make it easier for you, here it is:[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator9.0]"EXE Path"=":""Exe Path" is a String Value.Cheers,Siggy

I just had Windows XP do a total crash (2 days ago).... Could not even get to Safe Mode. Needless to say I had to re-install Windows with a complete repartition and format. 12 to 14 hours later I had all the drivers, updates, etc. & etc. & etc.... back in place and I was back to square one. Not going to do that again !!!! :-8I bought a copy of Powerquest Drive Image 7, and I've played a bit with it. Tomorrow I buy a spare hard drive to clone my C: drive to, for a spot on the shelf and piece of mind.Bob (Lecanto Fl.)
