February 14, 201214 yr I have a question regarding compiled AI flight plans. When a flight plan has been compiled into a bgl file does it contain all the information it needs regarding the aircraft used in the flight plan? I'd like to to some house cleaning in my SimObjects\Airplanes folder and I'd like to know if removing aircraft from this directory that have been used in AI flightplans will prevent those flightplans from displaying in FSX. My thought was to create a new sub directory (SimObjects\AI Aircraft) to hold all my AI aircraft but I'm worried that the existing compiled flightplans will not be able to reference this directory.Any advise would be much appreciated.Cheers,Dave W Dave Westbury
February 15, 201214 yr Hi,There is a way to specify other folders containing aircraft in FSX. Once your new folder has been specified, any AI aircraft found in that folder will be found and used by FSX.Excerpt from: http://a2asimulations.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=6438Go to;C;Documents and Settings/your name/Application Data (You may have to go to the folders properties folder to check "Show Hidden files")/Microftsoft/FSX folder/fsx.cfg(use notepad)Add this line below .5SimObjectPaths.6=AI AircraftClose and save=yesHope this helps, Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page
