Good advice, I've always used the same method of stick-waggling before starting a sim session on my MSFF2, but an alternative is keypad 5 (with the Numlock off, or else with default settings you end up staring at the roof!) which also centres the axes. Not sure if this is still valid if you use FSUIPC to calibrate though, but I've made the `numlock off, keypad 5, numlock on` routine part of my startup flow. And I still waggle! Never had a joystick problem of any description. Allcott
