March 13, 200422 yr hi,wish i could help but have the exact same problem.i have read about a timezone bug but dont know if it can be fixed.i asked the same question a while back and got 0 responses.i usually do a yhz-yul flight but would leave atlantic time, switch to eastern time but then back to atlantic.sure hope someone can help.regards.
March 13, 200422 yr Author Guys,Make sure your default flight starts in your own time zone. ANd that system time is set in FS, Settings, General.Should do the trick ;-)Cheers, Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|
March 13, 200422 yr Thanx Mats,Worked like a charm. I set my default at YYZ and the GMT is right on. Problem is I'm from YUL and when I change my departure airport to my home town , FS seems to think that Montreal (and the entire Province of Quebec for that matter) is in the Atlantic time zone :-hmmm .Dunno if there is a fix for this or just a bug in FS. Thanks for your help. I appreciate it.J-P LevisCYUL
March 13, 200422 yr Author Glad it worked out for you.Actually I think that there are quite a few bugs with the time zone borders in FS, was there in FS2002 as well if I recall correctly. I think there are fixes that corrects some of these issues. Do a search in the library here at AVSIM.But you found a good work-around. It doesn't really matter if your default flight starts at your home town. Just be sure the airport where you start is in the right time zone for you. Then the GMT should follow when changing airports, icluding giving wrong information due to the above mentioned bugs.Cheers, Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|
