Featured Replies

Lately I am experiencing many FSX crashes.Fault modules are "main.dll" (six times) "StackHash_cb1b (four times)". "Then some Terrain.dll". (2) "DSOUND,dll (1)"I don't remember when I had any dll. crashes. This happening since I installed "GSX.FsDream Team" I went to their forum. They advised to turn-off DEP. I did it.PMDG 737-600 NGX were utilized during these crashes events.1-DEP turn-OFF2-DSX uninstalled and removed all files from hard disk3-PMDG 737-600 un-installed and reinstalledI made yesterday two flights without any incident, but today during the decent CTD happened. Faulty Mode report attached.I don't know how to solve these problem: :Thinking:1- Will I replace Fsx.cfg file?2-Will I run FSX repair?3- Will I unistall FSX and reinstall? I will be really sad if I have to do this option. Last time it took one month to replace all addons.ThanksDescriptionFaulting Application Path: D:FSXfsx.exeProblem signatureProblem Event Name: APPCRASHApplication Name: fsx.exeApplication Version: 10.0.61637.0Application Timestamp: 46fadb14Fault Module Name: main.dllFault Module Version: 10.0.61637.0Fault Module Timestamp: 46fadb58Exception Code: c0000005Exception Offset: 00015abeOS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1Locale ID: 1033Additional Information 1: fb8bAdditional Information 2: fb8bd1bf7dcc44d047c58f37f56ad727Additional Information 3: fa63Additional Information 4: fa63c80ebf2b9d98cfa9fc211d9a92ad

That's a memory access violation.Make sure Windows Update is enabled so that your MSVC and .NET Runtimes are up-to-date.Cheers,- jahman.

In addition to jahman's comments, suggest disabling UAC and any anti-virus program then uninstalling/reinstalling GSX. You might want to look in the dll.xml file and make sure the AddonManager is properly installed or located in the file. Since you do not have FSX installed in the default location, you may have an issue with the system registry. You can run the free registry repair tool and dll.xml repair tool located at Flight One - http://www.flight1.com/view.asp?page=library. It's strange that you are being told to turn off DEP. Those developers over at FS Dreamteam are very computer literate....Best regards,Jim

I will try again according your recommendation ; My UTC already Turned off, but Norton anti-virus program is ON, I will disable and will reinstall GSX,"make sure the AddonManager is properly installed or located in the file"b)Unfortunately , I was receiving FSX warning regarding GSX AddonManager (please see 1st attached warning screen). Therefore I uninstalled GSX I removed AddonManager <Path>bglmanx.dll</ from the "dll.xml" file to stop GSX keep loading to FSX,a- http://img210.imageshack.us/img210/9569/gtxz.jpgb-<Launch.Addon> <Name>Addon Manager</Name> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad> <Path>bglmanx.dll</Path>"FSX installed in the default location, you may have an issue with the system registry"a-OK. Unfortunately , I was receiving FSX warning regarding GSX AddonManager (please see 1st attached warning screen). Therefore I uninstalled GSX I removed AddonManager bglmanx.dll
For GSX to run properly, you need to have the latest AddonManager installed (it records your serial number for instance). You can go to the DreamTeam website and download the latest AddonManager. When FSX asks you if you want to run this software, say YES. It is NOT a threat to your system.Best regards,Jim

Okay. Now that's a new problem as it was crashing when you said no too. But you need this program for GSX and all other FS Dreamteam products to run. Something is wrong, maybe with the dll.xml entries (i.e., corruption). Again, I would install their addon manager but make sure UAC is disabled and any anti-virus program is disabled too (I mentioned this above but maybe you haven't tried it?). Did you run the repair tool I mentioned for dll.xml? You should have the following entry in your dll.xml folder:<Launch.Addon> <Name>Addon Manager</Name> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad> <Path>bglmanx.dll</Path>You might also look in your fsx.cfg and see if there's an "Untrusted" section. I know there's a section in your fsx.cfg for Trusted modules but you said you didn't trust bglmanx.dll during one of your installations and it could still be listed as untrusted and that's why it is crashing. You can delete everything in the Trusted section of the fsx.cfg. When you restart FSX or load a scenery or addon aircraft, it will just begin asking you if you trust those things again (happens too if you deleted the FSX.cfg, restarted FSX and let the config rebuild). I honestly do not know this happens for sure as I have never had problems with an installation but I'm thinking this could have happened and you might want to check it out. Do you have any PMDG products installed? When you start up FSX and open up the Menu at the top of the sim, do you see options for PMDG configurations in the ADDON section of the menu? If not, and you have PMDG products installed, then your dll.xml is corrupted. If all else fails, I'm afraid you're going to have to completely uninstall FSX and all addons and start over (ugh!). If you do reinstall, please make sure any anti-virus program is disabled and UAC is disabled too. Once FSX is reinstalled, you can reactivate them. Just thinking, but, in regards to your anti-virus program, make sure the bglmanx.dll is not shown in the quarantine section and shown as a virus. If so, you'll have to remove as your anti-virus program is stopping the bglmanx.dll from working. I've just run out of suggestions/recommendations.Best regards,Jim
