High GPU load

Featured Replies

Hey guys I just started having this wierd problem. I noticed my FPS were running very low and my FSX load times were very slow. I pulled up my Nvidea Inspector and my GPU load was at 96%. It was also running very hot. If I remember normally it would run between 40% to 60%. What is wierd is sometimes I can restart FSX and it will go back to normal. I have tried updating my drivers and deleted my fsx cfg and let it build a new one. No change. My system is a 2500k at 4.6 stable, 8gb ram, GTX470 card. Maybe my GPU is going south?

Do you have Nvidia Inspector installed and with what settings? If you only reinstalled drivers, do a clean install in safe mode - uninstall everything, go to safe mode, run driver sweeper on nvidia stuff, reboot and install new driver. For the sake of the test, don't change anything on the driver level, just use FSX with the default driver. 96% sure seems a lot for no extra settings. If that doesn't help, yeah, your GPU might be gone...
