Now this problem has become very frequent. I am doing a 2-3 hrs flight and suddenly in between it will freeze. keys wont respond. handing comm to co-pilot wont work either. Most of the time it happens after the atis information but when i notice its just happening randomly. Keys stop reponding. then i go to the task manager and there i see radar contact 'Not Responding'. I will write down the addons i am using incase any other addon is causing conflict.1)UTX- all versions(layered properly)2)GEX- all versions(all synch patch and acceleration patches installed)3)Ultimate traffic 24)FsPassenger x5)Radar Contact 4.3(with meatwater's voicepack)6)REX Overdrive7)FSUIPC latest(unregistered)8)vroute freeI am using win 7 ultimate 64 bit and FSX Acceleration.No any other addon scenery. I have pmdg ngx bt this is happening even with default aircrafts although i really doubt tht it has got anything to do with the aircraft i am using.I have tried handing over the comm to FO right at the start but that didn't solve the problem. I tried handling comm myself that didnt work either. I have tried rebuilding RC database with latest makernwys but that didn't solve the problem. I have tried reinstalling RC, no help there either. I have disabled the UAC. I haven't installed the RC in the default folder. I run it with administrator account. Still i make sure to run it as the administrator by right clicking on it and choosing to run it as administrator. I have installed it in the folder 'rcv4x' since i don't own fs2004 and dont need RC for it. I also make sure to connect RC to fsx only when i have loaded the flight plan and i can see my aircraft at the airport. This freezing has no pattern but 90% of the time it freezes before or after getting IFR clearance. I don't know what to do. When it freezes i can still see the RC window on my FSX screen but the keystrokes won't work. I start my RC with my aircraft parked at the gates with the engines running.Regards,Rohit

Try it without FS Passenger. If that is no help try it without REX. In another thread here a user has reported REX users are having problems with it even without RC. It was declared something about REX getting weather for FS.Add one add-on at time to see if a particular add-on is causing a problem.In addition alt-tabbing to see if an error pop-up window is sitting behind RC and FS and all applications running might expose an error message.

Thanks, i will try out one addon at a time. I have tried alt tabbing but there was no error RC just stopped responding. I will try addon advice and report back here.Regards,Rohit

I tried every addon. It was getting hanged with every addon, with every addon disabled and with every addon enabled. So i figured it must be something else. In the end i went to kaspersky settings and put off the the option of "apllication control" and after tht RC never hanged. So i just moved RC to the trusted group and gave every possible right to it. Now its working fine.But thanks ronzie for replying to my query. I am a happy RC user once again :D.Regards,Rohit

kapersky and many other heuristic virus checkers look for frequent access to applications in Program Files and RC does this as it monitors ai and your aircraft. It might have popped up an error 75 in the background. This is covered in the pinned topic at the forum head.
