March 2, 201214 yr As recommended in the PMDG 737NGX forum, I tried Bojote's tweaked fsx.cfg file. When I do this, I get the problem I describe below.I have added this to a post I made on the PMDG 737NGX forum here on AvSim ("Cloud Draw Distance in Setup"), and made a reply to Bojote. T be honest, I don't remember where there was a reply link to Bojote to see if he replied. I will hunt that after posting this. I am also posting it here in the hope that it will get more exposure and possibly someone else has seen this issue and knows a solution. When I replace my original fsx.cfg file with that provided by Bojote, something happens that doesn't seem to be compatible with my Ultimate Traffic. When I start up FSX, the first thing I get is a window whch says the following:"There are multiple objects with the same title name. They must have unique title names. FIA100 SimObjectsUT AircraftFlight One AI 100" If I click "close" in the window it progresses to the next aircraft, "F1AI100*AF*00". As I continue closing window it continues to progress to the other UT aircraft. I did this 1,000 times before giving up.In my tweaked fsx.cfg file, I replaced the entire "trusted" section with the content of my original fsx.cfg file. I don't know what is different fsx.cfg files to be causing this as it still did the same thing. Thanks:RTH
March 2, 201214 yr So - use your original cfg for a flight, to ensure that nothing has changed in that one, then copy it to a safe place. Then - just replace or insert each of the Bojo changes into the cfg, one at a time, restarting the sim as you do it. Sooner or later the problem will show up. i7 [email protected] | 32GB RAM | EVGA RTX 3080Ti | Maximus Hero VII | 512GB 860 Pro | 512GB 850 Pro | 256GB 840 Pro | 2TB 860 QVO | 1TB 870 EVO | Seagate 3TB Cloud | EVGA 1000 GQ | Win10 Pro | EK Custom water cooling.
March 2, 201214 yr Author In inspecting both my original backup fsx.cfg file compared to the tweaked file I found the following regarding UT Aircraft in the "Main" sections:Original fsx.cfg:[Main]User Objects=Airplane, HelicopterSimObjectPaths.0=SimObjects\AirplanesSimObjectPaths.1=SimObjects\RotorcraftSimObjectPaths.2=SimObjects\GroundVehiclesSimObjectPaths.3=SimObjects\BoatsSimObjectPaths.4=SimObjects\AnimalsSimObjectPaths.5=SimObjects\MiscSimObjectPaths.6=AircraftMaximized=2Location=827,203,1859,981,\\.\DISPLAY1HideMenuNormal=0HideMenuFullscreen=1ProcSpeed=6796PerfBucket=1FIBER_FRAME_TIME_FRACTION=0.18SimObjectPaths.6=SimObjects\UT AircraftSimObjectPaths.7=SimObjects\UT AircraftDisablePreload=1Tweaked fsx.cfg:[Main]DisablePreload=1FIBER_FRAME_TIME_FRACTION=0.18HideMenuFullscreen=1HideMenuNormal=0Location=827,203,1859,981,\\.\DISPLAY1Maximized=2SimObjectPaths.0=SimObjects\AirplanesSimObjectPaths.1=SimObjects\RotorcraftSimObjectPaths.2=SimObjects\GroundVehiclesSimObjectPaths.3=SimObjects\BoatsSimObjectPaths.4=SimObjects\AnimalsSimObjectPaths.5=SimObjects\MiscSimObjectPaths.6=SimObjects\UT AircraftSimObjectPaths.7=SimObjects\UT AircraftUser Objects=Airplane, HelicopterI replaced the "Main" section" of the tweaked file with the original "Main" section from the original backup and the problem went away. I also resubmitted this edited fsx.cfg file to Bojote, and the reply was that the file was optomized and needed no tweaking.Sorry for the bold print. After the cut and paste of the "Main" sections of the files, I don't know how to get rid of it.Respectfully:RTH
March 2, 201214 yr There are two #6 entries in the first cfg - 6 = aircraft, and 6= UT Aircraft, and then a 7 = UT Aircraft..There are two UT entries shown in the tweaked cfg - shown here 6 & 7. This is an also error - you should only need #6. This is why you're getting the warnings - it sees the folders a second time. Delete the #7 entry and you should be good to go. i7 [email protected] | 32GB RAM | EVGA RTX 3080Ti | Maximus Hero VII | 512GB 860 Pro | 512GB 850 Pro | 256GB 840 Pro | 2TB 860 QVO | 1TB 870 EVO | Seagate 3TB Cloud | EVGA 1000 GQ | Win10 Pro | EK Custom water cooling.
March 2, 201214 yr Author Thjanks for the reply Paul:Interesting:The Original "Main" edit which I now have edited into the tweaked fsx.cfg file has two line items 6: "SimObjectPaths.6=Aircraft" and "SimObjectPaths.6=SimObjectsUT Aircraft".It also has two UT Aircraft line items, 6 and 7:"SimObjectsPaths.6=SimObjectsUT Aircraft" (Same line item as above) and"SimObjectsPaths.7=SimObjectsUT Aircraft"Including this "Main" section" works with no errors, and was returned with the statement saying that no tweaking was necessary from Bojote's tweak program.I will experiment as you recommended, but I am receiving no errors with this edit as it stands. Seems that the duplicate makes no difference, at least when the backup "Main" is implemented. I'm in over my head here and understand what you are saying, but ironically, it works. Thanks again.RTH There are two #6 entries in the first cfg - 6 = aircraft, and 6= UT Aircraft, and then a 7 = UT Aircraft..There are two UT entries shown in the tweaked cfg - shown here 6 & 7. March 2, 201214 yr This is what these folder paths should look like RTH. These paths are installation paths for each type of object. I've taken out my own info for clarity, and assume that you have the UT aircraft all installed under %FSX_Root%SimObjectsUT Aircraft There should be no duplicate entries here.
